The 2012 Choose Radio campaign has won 2 Gold awards at the prestigious Kinsale Shark Advertising Awards.
We’re the Irish and We Listen to Radio more than Anyone else in the World was the theme of the 2012 campaign and was developed by McCann Dublin led by CEO Orlaith Blaney. It was broadcast by 36 radio stations across Ireland during the month of June.
The campaign, now in its fourth year, is a joint initiative between the IBI and RTÉ Radio which aims to demonstrate the power and reach of radio advertising and encourage advertisers to invest in radio.
In congratulating McCann Dublin, Scott Williams IBI Chairman said “Choose Radio is a difficult product as the creative has to be suitable for broadcast on 36 radio stations throughout Ireland ranging from national to regional to local radio stations and audiences with many different interests and of all ages. Not only did this challenge not deter McCann Erickson but it seemed to spur them on and they managed to produce not one but two amazing pieces of creative that struck a chord with every radio station and more importantly with listeners and advertisers alike.”
